The BBC and other news outlets are reporting that a major incident has been declared after NHS services across England and Scotland were hit by a large-scale cyber-attack. A respected London newspaper is reporting that this appears to be part of a larger cybersecurity attack on Windows system worldwide.
The US Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning to IT services providers, healthcare organizations and three other business sectors about a sophisticated cyber-attack campaign that has been active since April 2016.
Snake is a fairly complex malware framework used for targeted attacks, or Cyber-espionage, and it’s been found on the Mac running on MacOS X. Snake has been linked with a Russian cybere-spionage group.
US Newspaper giant Gannett, owner of the USA Today newspaper (to name just one), has announced through the website of the aforementioned newspaper, that they have been hit by a data-breach as a result of a phishing attack.
