Protecting a City, One Department At A Time

There is a city in California; a city of approximately 90,000 residents. This city buys its anti-malware solutions from us. This is not that remarkable. We supply schools and government departments all over the country. Most vendors offer deep discounts on Government Licenses and we have a lot of these that we supply across the counrty. But this city is different in one particular way.

How are they different?

They are now moving their anti-malware solution to us – a department at a time.

First we supplied their library with Government Licenses. After we’d been working with the library for a couple of years, our contact asked how he could get the news out about our wonderful customer service. We said to just tell you colleagues and that would be great for us.

His response: if I do that, you won’t sell any more products, because we have the solutions you supply in the entire library now.

Our next question left him a little perplexed… but we asked “do you network with the IT admins from other government departments?

YES! He informed us that they have lunches once a month with IT admins from various government departments. Well, if you wouldn’t mind, please tell those other admins about us.

He said that he would be delighted to share the details of how we had helped him.

So next we got a request to quote the City Works Department. After that, the Fire Department. Each time, the department bought the deeply discounted Government licenses we were able to provide.

This week – we quoted the Police Department – and today they accepted our quote!

So as of this week, we’ll be supplying the Library, the City Works Dept, and both the Fire + Police Departments.

If you work in Government, please feel free to ask us how we can help you with your IT protection needs – we love supplying government departments with the tools + training they need to keep their infrastructure safe!
