US Newspaper giant Gannett, owner of the USA Today newspaper (to name just one), has announced through the website of the aforementioned newspaper, that they have been hit by a data-breach as a result of a phishing attack.

Friday’s dump contains potent exploits and hacking tools that target most versions of Microsoft Windows and evidence of sophisticated hacks on the SWIFT banking system of several banks across the world.
Chinese electronic firm XiongMai will recall some of its IoT devices, after claims that they were used to launch a massive denial-of-service attack. The distributed denial-of-service attack targeted domain name service Dyn, who confirmed this weekend in a statement that it was hit by a “sophisticated attack”.
