Apple has released a second update for Java to patch the vulnerability that allows the Flashback malware access to MacOS machines. This Java release is specifically targeted to MacOS-X Lion and shows as Java for OS X Lion 2012-002.
Some of the Macintosh community have speculated that this update was necessary due to a glitch being found in the original update – necessitating a lion only update release as this Java update appears to be.
Whatever the reason, MacOS Lion users should check for updates and grab this Java patch if they are haven’t already!
